Paul Knighton & Michelle Wilson

Associate Managing Broker/Owner & Sales Associate, MORE Realty · Your relocation team for the greater Boise area

Paul and Michelle built this guide because out-of-state Micron movers kept asking the same questions: which town has the shortest commute, what does the tax bill actually look like, and can I trust the builder brochures. This site is the honest answer set, kept current and free of invented numbers.

As agents with MORE Realty, we work with relocating professionals on every step: comparing towns, connecting with lenders and title teams, touring new communities, and reading the fine print so a new build never surprises you. We are the local half of a cross-country move who answer the phone and level with you.

Why this site exists

An idea this site will never use: hype

The Micron expansion is a real, documented event: two leading-edge DRAM fabs on the Boise campus, roughly 3,500 new Micron jobs in Idaho within a much larger workforce impact, and a first fab output target in 2027. It is also real that housing, traffic, and prices are under pressure because of it.

This guide holds to three rules: every figure is sourced or flagged as unverifiable, every town is described fairly and without steering, and wherever a number cannot be confirmed today, the site says "ask for current pricing" instead of guessing. No demographic references, no pressure tactics, and full Fair Housing compliance.

How we stay honest

  • All price and tax figures come from named public sources and are labeled with their date and caveat.
  • Commute times are stated as typical estimates, never official statistics, with winter and peak-hour caveats.
  • Builders are listed because they actively build in the valley, not because they pay to appear.
  • If a number can't be verified, this site says so and points you to a current source.
  • Fair Housing rules apply: no steering, no demographic talk, no assumptions about who belongs where.
